Native American Seasons Tour

fall home table with artifacts

An hour and a half tour from season to season
through the forest and the Ohop Indian Village.
The tour guide will help your group to do the things that native people did
at different times of the year.
The Spring and Summer Village will allow you to try
target shooting with a bow and arrow,
matching animals, using a bow drill, and more.
The Fall fishing Village is where you may try
making a slate arrowhead, braiding, pecking a stone bowl,
or helping to chip out a canoe.
The Winter home will allow you to
dress up in native style clothes, try Salish loom weaving,
grind in a stone bowl, and make a bracelet to take home.

All of the seasons will show you how the Coast Salish peoples
encouraged game playing and you may play the games that the children played.
