Salish Living Experience

tour guide introduces students to the winter home.Native family preparing a meal in the Winter Home.

This program includes an extended Native American Seasons Tour,
Nature Trail, Craft, Morning Chores, and Wrap Up discussion.
During the evening portion of the program the tour guide will help
the group to make Native dessert, tell legends at the fire, and
teach you to sing some Native songs before bed.
The following morning you will do chores and
have a wrap up discussion about the indian experience.
The group brings food to cook over the open fire
and sleeping bags to sleep over.
Another program may be added to this one
to enhance and extend your stay.
The staff suggests adding
a Pioneer Farm Tour, or a
Pioneer Living Experience (a second overnight).
